Hi Spätzle fans,
We are excited to announce that we are resuming shipping. It’s been longer of a wait than we had anticipated and we truly appreciate your understanding. We want to briefly explain a few things about shipping as you may be a bit shocked on the actual shipping costs. As we are a very small company, trying to ship a refrigerated item, things for us are not cheap (no Amazon Prime). The cost of the shipping containers and supplies, the cost to ship the containers/ice packs to us, and then the cost of shipping the Spätzle to customers. We are charging a flat rate of $25.00 for express shipping and packaging. Please understand, we are not trying to make money on shipping, just try to almost cover our costs. We are continually trying to grow our distribution network so customers can get our Spätzle locally instead of having it shipped.
We are shipping our Spätzle fresh. We ship orders every week on Wednesdays. It is shipped in insulated containers with ice packs. When it arrives, you can put it right in the refrigerator and enjoy it within 30 days, or freeze it and defrost it before using. We have lots of recipes and ideas on our website or just be creative.
